The Agape Table envisions a world in which equity and inclusion are the centerpiece of community here in South Carolina and beyond. We believe that our LGBTQ+ family is worthy of love and deserving of human dignity no matter the setting, circumstance, or interaction. We will work until every queer individual in South Carolina is welcome to the table of grace and promised that they will always have a seat, exactly as they are.
The Agape Cohort gives you the opportunity to learn queer history, confront the queer experience, and reflect through facilitated dialogue. Cohorts consist of no more than 12 individuals who are dedicated to intensive education and intentional vulnerability.

A film screening may persuade someone to be more compassionate towards the queer community, as it humanizes the stories of those who are mistreated and misrepresented.

One can no longer be a moral degradation, a political talking point, or a theological topic when they are sitting across the table from you. If you are honoring their seat at the table, then their humanity matters. Their existence matters. Their story matters.
