Stories Telling Us!

Through a partnership with the SC Restorative Justice Initiative and local storyteller Torres Fontain, we are excited to bring STU to the Midlands! At Stories Telling Us events, we explore the idea that our narratives can transcend casual sharing; they are living entities that inhabit us, shaping our perceptions while connecting us as people. In this space, we understand ourselves not merely as storytellers, but as conduits through which stories themselves speak.
We invite you to join us once a month to build community, empower one another, and shift the communal narrative. Perhaps you’d even like to share your story with us too!

STU is held on the last Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm. Dinner is always provided and you will receive the location once you RSVP. The space will be carefully curated with the intention of elevating queer, black, and brown voices above others. We believe these stories deserve the spotlight at this moment in history. We ask that all participants please make an effort to create that space together.

Upcoming STU Gatherings:

February 29 (the theme for this evening is “Love”)
March 28 (the theme for this evening is TBD)
